Most assuredly I understand that when receiving a gift for your birthday a Thank You card is in order. But what about when co-workers all sign a separate Birthday Card with their wishes and no gift is attached? Would I need to put a Thank You card up on the Bulletin Board to say Thank you for signing my Birthday Card? I'm not sure about what is proper in this case.

I don't quite understand what you're saying, but I'll give your question a shot. If your saying, how do you thank people for birthday cards, that's simple. One thing you could do is asking your boss if you could make an announcement at your next meeting, thanking everyone. Another harder way to do things is to write back thanking your co-workers. Put a nice card on every ones desk saying thank you. That would always brighten someones day.

I don't necessarily think a thank-you card is necessary for a card. If you feel the need to thank someone, I would say thank the person who organized the signing of the card verbally.

Just a group thank you put up on the bulletin is good. It would be a little over the top to individually write out thank yous to each person.

Well for me either people give you gifts or just cards for your birthday you have to thank them personally with many ways. And for your co-workers who gave cards for your birthday as if you want to reply them with giving them 'Thank you' cards hmm i think it's a lil' bit...wierd you know...like cards replies with cards !?!.... If i were you i will give them shortcakes for each of them.....But if u did celebrate your birthday and cut a b'day cake and gave to everyone, then you just have to thanked them verbally.
