Castor oil will generally do the trick but it makes the labor pains strong. If you do decide to go that route you must continue to walk to attemp to prokove the labor pains or it may just stop. Try 1 tblspoon in a glass of orange juice. Once the pains start try walking up stairs bringing your legs up and apart as you go up them. This tends to help dialate and bring the baby down. Talk to you doctor about stripping your membranes first. If he/she does then you know that it is ok to go for the castor oil because then your your doc thinks your baby is ready. You don't want to induce yourself if you baby isn't ready. Plus this may help you go into labor quicker. Good luck!

This question is a natural one - you're at 38 weeks and you're probably feeling miserable. However, ask the same question with different words - "How can I force my baby to be born prematurely, before he or she is really ready to breathe?" - and I think you'll decide that it's never a good idea to try this.

Try drinking Castor Oil & Orange Juice. It tastes awful, but if the baby is ready to be born, it will bring on the labor pains.

I've been told the best ways to do such is to Walk, have sex, or go for a bumpy car ride. I've heard those from my family members...cause it worked for them. Try some of those. Just be careful.

What's the rush? Whatever happened to letting the baby come when he/she is ready? Let nature take its course. If you try to rush things and something goes wrong, will you be able to cope with the natural guilt you will feel?

Have sexual intercourse with your male partner. A substance in the seminal fluid can cause uterine contractions.
