eat hot cooked oatmeal in the morning for breakfast and take 2 fiber tablets with half bottle of water before you eat .do this about 3 times a week till your stomach gets use to it or it will cause pain in the stomach. once you get use to this do it 7 days a week.

The American Heart Association has an online cookbook specifically for low fat recipes, these are yummy. I print them off and have them available for people at our gym. They're easy to fix, and delicious! Your friend will need to be having foods that are low in fat, and also take some 20-30 minute walks if they're willing, the exercise will lower the cholesterol, and so will eating low fat foods.

Well, I have been eating oatmeal for 5 month and it hasn't done a thing for me. I tried garlic tabs, no luck. I am exercising and walking now, because I will not take any of the meds for cholesterol.

Yes you can lower your cholesterol.Look for the amt of cholesterol on food labels,Anything to eat that is fast and easy if loaded with fat and salt.Eat fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken, whole grains and cereal, oatmeal and please, stay away from fried, greasy foods, junk food, processed meats. Also omega 3 fish oil and garlic capsules can help.Of course there are medications however they are very expensive.
