Bibilically it shows us that unless your repentance is sincere you will not get into the kingdon of heaven. So don't worry even if someone who lives the life of an atheist does repent while on his death bed and is accepted into heaven than you should praise God for the soul that has been won over, and be happy that he found the light... no matter what time of life it comes.

It's not fashionable to be an Atheist, but smart and decent people know that conservative christianity is silly and indecent. If I did repent on my deathbed it wouldn't be to your god. I mean, the guy takes anybody and his standards aren't all that clear. For all I know, Hitler repented on his deathbed and he's in heaven at god's right hand, but Einstein, who worked all his life for the betterment of mankind, but was unfortunately a Jew, is burning in hell at this very moment. Your god is an ******. I'd find someone better to worship if I were you. How about the Easter Bunny: he's real nice and brings magical gifts to all the girls and boys of the world!

I Agree!....I Was A RN-Nurse Years Ago And I've Seen Quite A Few Myself Try To Repent To GOD So They Could Go To Heaven!....What Most Atheists Don't Get Is That When They Continue To Fight Against GOD & His Servants ....There Is A "CUT OFF" Time With GOD, And They Just May not Make It Into Heaven!...GOD Is Not Man ....LOL...He Knowns They Are Just Trying To Escape Hell....And Trying To Steal Their Way In!!

Well, I suppose that some Atheists repent on their death bed but a large portion of all people dont even have a death bed, they die unexpectedly in a car crash or heart attack. You just have to be ready because you never know what breath may be your last.

I'm an atheist and from a purely pragmatic standpoint, I would not waste my time.
I've been a Christian and have read the bible, and I know how evil and vindictive the God of the bible is, and if I tried sucking up to him at the last minute, that would only make it worse for me in hell.
I'll just keep my mouth shut and if God exists, we're all screwed, not just atheists. The God of the bible is one psycho b*st**d, so if he really exists, we'll all be sorry atheists are wrong.

I'm guessing that probably 70% of Atheists repent and call for the Lord on their death beds because they wonder about the afterlife.

Yes, it seems like many of them repent right when they desperately need it. Of course, it is wonderful that they repent, but they had their whole life to repent, and they decide to right before they could die, although they may have known about God their whole lives. Hopefully the Atheists you know continue following God after their near death experience.

Yes, they probably do. Unfortunately its to little to late.
I think a last minute prayer to God for salvation will go unheard. God knows how they lived their lives and he also knows that if they were since, they would have changed their lives sooner. Not on their death bed....
I really hope some of the people, who claim to be atheist, on this forum are trying to get a reaction out of others..
If not, there are a lot of people that will be very, very surprised when they die......

Are these people true Atheist or are these people just not religious?
If you are an Atheist who changed your mind because you almost died you have nothing to lose if your wrong. But if you keep your same ways you might end up in hell or something.
Just a note, I don't plan on changing my mind.

I have only watched one atheist died and he certainly never did. I suspect it never happens, at least it happens no more than the number of former genie non-believers who rub lamps on their death beds hoping for a genie to grant them the wish of eternal life.
