not true at all... all the stuff that comps do for us are through the process of creativity of people that decided that that "thing" would be useful for others too... and comps cant make a decision... its just like a fancy car... its just a machine that does what its designed to do...

Likely the opposite is true. Many people have great ideas but also have great difficulty with higher math. Computers can do the higher math but must be fed original ideas (problems?) to work on. Now many people who can master computers will be able to use them to develop and perfect their own ideas. It has been said that someone with a difficult technical problem to solve is like a person who goes into a tailor's shop to find a suit that fits. Instead of re-inventing the math, you find the math that fits and use it. One person invented Bessel functions and someone else discovered that they could be used to study the heat generated in a huge concrete dam as the concrete cured threatening to crack the dam.

It's probably never going to happen, because there will always be doubters that act against computeriziation at that level, fearing a reversal of control, and besides, we'd never be satisfied with our current level of technology, and would always continue to update it creatively. There's no real computer art, either.

I don't think it's true. I think people are getting carried away with the possibilities of technology. They think they're endless when they have limits...
