I believe in God but I often wonder why there is no science behind it.There is no real proof and there is no real evidence. Some might say that proof and evidence is the fact that we are here and the bible is evidence as to why.But this is not science. This is mere belief without factual proof beyond faith. It is like believing that the boogey man is real...Afterall, when we are kids we believe in him or it and many of us look under the bed for this monster of the night.Or how about vampires? There is stories of vampires that date back centuries. Why no bodies of any of them?

We can study biology and we can carbon date things. We can fly to the moon and study rocks from Mars.We can even change the biological makeup of a cell. But in all this, why can't we prove that God exists if he really does?Where is the proof?

I believe that until there is solid proof there never will be a true interpretaion of something you can't even prove. You?

You're right, there is NO scientific basis for god. If you keep thinking the way you are, you might end up being agnostic or atheist, so be careful!

"I believe that until there is solid proof there never will be a true interpretaion of something you can't even prove."

Exactly, without proof (or evidence based on facts), there is nothing but interpretation. And since everyone interprets things differently, no one can be right or wrong, therefore no one can be right or wrong about god. Because of this, no one can say anything is true or false about god, because everyone sees it differently.

I diagree. The Way to God's Truth is NOT through Science. Science is very good at examing things that can be seen, studied, analyzed, catagorized, observed, etc.

God, faith in general, is NONE of those things. Therefore, to think that one can use science to either prove or disprove God's existance is an exercise in futility.

Truth is, God has deliberately "covered His tracks" so to speak. Belief in Him is to be a matter of Faith, not Science. Science is an excellent tool i nthe study of this physical temporal world that you and I live in.

But it grossly inadequite, to say the least, when it comes to studying the intangible, supernatural, eternal realm that God exists in.

Trut interpretation of God's Truth will be revealed in time where God wants, when He wants. If there's anything we don't know about God, it is because - at this point in time - we do not need to know. Do not let our incomplete understanding of the Truth trouble you. If God has not revealed a specific Truth, He is not going to hold our misunderstandings against us.

But He will expect us to understand many Truths already revealed.

I said before, God has covered His tracks, that is - there is not physical evidence of God's existance. This lack of physical evidence doesn't mean there's no such thing as non-physical evidence.

Many people have probably already told you that faith itself is proof that God exists. This is because faith is a gift from God. The ability for a human being to have faith in a deity does not come from a human being. It comes from God. If there was no God, no one would have faith. So no one would be seeking a super-natural answer to the question, "Why?".

But billions of people do believe, different religions mind you, but still they have that gift of faith. There must be a gift-bearer. Wouldn't you say? And the very nature of the gift gives us a clue to who gave it, where He is, and what He is.

Virtually, the question of whether or not there is a God was answered long ago. The human race, overwhelmingly, rules in favor of God's existance. In spite of this, there seems to be a debate over which religion is the best way to worship, but that's another topic.

So, why doesn't everyone have faith? Faith is a gift. Just because one has been offered a gift, doesn't guarantee that person will accept it.

There are those who have flat-out rejected God's gift of faith. There are others who have not embraced the gift of faith because they don't realize it's been offered to them. Still, there are others who simply have not been offered the gift of faith yet. Why, you might ask?

In God's grand scheme of things, it's entirely possible that God is withholding the gift from some people now because, in some way, they will embrace it all the more passionately later on, thus making them better followers.

How do I know all this? Faith.

I think you answered your own question, to a very large extent. I couldn't have put it better. This is why I can't be religious, because I need facts to back up faith, to believe certain beings exist, or once did exist on earth.

Without science, there is no proof of any of this actually happening. The bible is a book that's been translated into many different languages, some of it is in code, and it's older than life itself.

Take rumors for example - once they get started, they change drastically as more people pass them on because of miscommunication. If someone started off passing around "The sky is blue" in a classroom, by the time it got to the other side of the room it could be "A guy is cute". See where I'm going with this?

Again, I think you answered your own question, and I've already repeated some of the points you brought up. I agree completely, no doubt about it in my mind.

There is no proof of god because there no evidence at all that can be applied to this subject. You either believe it or you don't.
Creationists and charlatans like Josh McDowell act as if there is evidence, but what they present as scientific is pseudo-scientific nonsense; and I think they mostly know that it is. You have to either know or check every fact they present because almost all of their 'facts' sound very impressive, but are either distortions or just plain wrong.
In science, although there may be intense personal rivalries in a field, the side with the most evidence eventually wins. In religion, where no evidence is relevant, believers often end up killing each other: it's the only way they can win.
So I agree with you: Don't insist on the one true interpretation of anything religious. That way leads to bloodshed.

Science and religion are mutually exclusive. There is the spiritual dimension and the rationalistic dimension and never the twain shall meet. If you believe in God you must "take the Bibles word for it", pray, hope and imagine. If you believe in rationality you look to the evidence-based world of history, medicine and other exact sciences. Faith versus knowledge. Both dimensions are real and has value. But they demand a choice.

There is a really good book that deals with this sort of thing. It's called "Evidence That Demands A Verdict" by Josh McDowell. Available at any Christian Bookstore

You're kidding right? There is so much evidence that supports bible theories, it's incredible. However, it is what you choose to see, not what you see that determines how you interpret the evidence.
That is why evolutionists will never see evidence to support God. They choose not to see it. Which is why evolution is not a science but a religion. It refuses to compete with anything outside of its own theory.

Its the same question as " WHAT ARE SCIENTIFC EVIDENCES FOR 'BLACK HOLES' "

you cannot see black hole because light cannot escape from its gravitational field, you cannot hear it, you cannot touch it, you cannot taste it, you cannot smell it. BUT STILL Scientiest believes in black holes ? Why ?

===========================
What evidence do we have for the existence of black holes?

-=------------------------

Astronomers have found convincing evidence for a supermassive black hole in the center of the giant elliptical galaxy M87, as well as in several other galaxies. The discovery is based on velocity measurements of a whirlpool of hot gas orbiting the black hole.

we proof existence of black hole by looking its influence and its surrounding. by determing the speed of stars rotating around it, we gets proofs of its existence. in other words, the influence of its power makes us to believe in it.

------------

same way, When we look around, we get sure that there is someone who has created this. and who is all powerful and all wise. and without his power and will, we cannot even digest our food.

Believing in supernatural entities of any kind, "God(s)" or otherwise, comes down to a simple choice:

Do you believe, or, do you not believe?

There is no credible evidence to support believing in "God," so those who do so are no different than those who claim Bigfoot is real, Santa Claus & Easter Bunny exist, or any other unsupported claim.
