I just highlighted my hair with Revlon Custom Effects highlights in H20. I hate it! On the box it didnt say it would wash out, and it didnt say it was permanant. Anybody know? If it is permanant, how can I get the color to fade?Is there any tricks? Can i hide it some how? If yes, how? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!1

It's probably permanent. They would have told you that it was wash out, so if it isn't it's permanent. I guess if you really do hate it you could go to a hairstylist and have her fix it up a little. Or you could dye it back to a solid color. I would wait a few days your hair might be a little worn out just now. I know that if you keep your hair in a ponytail highlights aren't as noticeable...Just play around and find a hairstyle that doesn't make the highlights seem so bad. The color might fade over time, but we're talking months here, and you obviously don't like it now.

Honey, hair color 101; in order to highlight your hair you need to lighten and the main ingredients in those products is peroxide and that makes it permanent, sorry it wont wash out! But keep your head high there is still hope. Go back to the drug store and buy a semi-permanent color such as Loving Care by Clairol(lasts 8-12shampoos), or a demi-permanent color, Natural Instincts also by Clairol.(lasts 28 shampoos) pick a shade close to you current hair color or 1-3 shades lighter. It washes out completely, give the highlighted parts a few more weeks. And reapply every 1-2 months(depending on how much you wash your hair) and do that till the highlighted part grows out.

Use a color glaze-- it will dampen the effects of the highlights. These are really moisturizing for your hair, so it won't strip your hair even more.

The color will 'fade' even though it's permanent. Usually a month or so will take off the edge.

are they highlights (lighter than your hair) or low lights? if theyre highlights they are permanent because in order to make your hair lighter you have to permanantly lift the color. low lights might wash out if it says they are semi permanent. if its permanent you can dye your hair all one solid color that is a shade or two darker than it is now or you can go to a stylist and see what they can do to help you out. if its semi permanent give it a few days and see how you like it once its faded more and go from there. good luck!

I'm pretty sure you can go to a hairdresser and get a "chemical wash" or a "color wash" - something along the lines of that. It's supposed to wash out all the colors/chemicals in your hair to make it look almost like it did before. If that doesn't work, get new ones.

I guess the key before using anything on your self is to READ, but Pantene Color Stay Shampoo and Conditioner might do you some good. It's in a brown bottle. Stores like CVS sell it, under the hair sections. Good lUck and next time READ....

I would go to your local store and buy a different color to dye your hair back, and then maybe u could get hightlights at the salon or try it again just experiment and keep an original color handy!!
