What is scarey about islam is that our governments refuse to realize we are in Jehad! They refuse to believe FAKFIR , that all muslims are to convert us or KILL us. Governments do not want to realize that a muslim must SHAHEED= convert or kill. THAT IS WHAT SCARES ME ABOUT ISLAM.

No, I think people misunderstand it and that's why they fear it. And if you were to go into detail with Christianity or Judaism you'd find much worse things, but it's all a matter of perception. I think the media has a lot to do with portraying the false image of Islam and frankly, ignorance is also a factor. You shouldn't generalize this to the whole Muslim community and until you have experienced Islam in its roots you will not understand and perhaps that is why you don't want to understand. By the way, it's the fastest growing religion in the world thanks to the media and 9/11. People want to know the real Islam and once they find out they can't help but save their soul and convert to Islam. It's a very peaceful and beautiful religion. Christianity supported the condemnation of witchcraft (which was all in their minds), made 1000s of crusades and forced people into their religion, i.e-American Indians. So you have no right of saying that without knowing the whole truth, but again you wouldn't understand because God has placed a blindfold on your eyes so that you may never know the truth and go to Hell!

Islam isn't scary; the unknown is scary. Better go do some research about it yourself. It's a very fair and logical religion.
The media and ignorant actions are the cause of the "scariness". I find it funny that in the west, folks have become terrified about muslims and islam in general. However, middle easterners hearing stories about serial killers, drive-bys, mothers killing their kids in the name of "Post Partum Depression" and other tragically common incidents in the west, are equally horrified; they've got their own stereotypes and misconceptions about westerners too.

Islam is not a scary religion, but "Islam-ism," the corruption of Islam into a violent movement, is.
I hope that the people following the religion of Islam will continue to speak out aginst this corrupt, terrorist element.

Yeah, Islam is pretty scary to me. I think the way they want to install religion into government and discriminate against non-muslims is pretty scary. And the way they want to take over the world. Pretty damn scary. Of course, I'm also rather afraid of many Christian denominations for pretty much the same reasons.

Not at all. Islam is a very peaceful, beautiful religion. The only scary things about it are those who misread its passages and see them as justification for killing innocent people.
