It is very hard to get live pups from an English bull dog, which makes them more expensive, but they are by far the better choice. They are usually bred with more care and therefore suffer form less health problem.

either one - you just need to do a lot of research on each breed to see what best fits for your personality - English bulldogs are high maintenance first off - they have lots of health problems as they get older -skin issues - joint problems etc.- all things that can be treated however it just gets expensive - if you go with the bulldog look into getting dog health insurance. It will help a lot down the road - and both dogs make wonderful pets.

Bulldogs are very hard to breed - they have huge heads and the mom often needs an expensive c-section to deliver them. They have small litters, so you have to charge more for each pup. Rotties are easy whelpers that often have 8-10 pups. That explains the price difference.

Personally, I prefer Rotties - although they can be prone to hip dysplasia, they have far fewer health problems than bulldogs. Bulldogs tend to fart a lot and don't handle strenuous exercise in warm weather very well.

Because of their size, Rotties can be more aggressive and more dangerous if they're not trained early and properly. It's really your choice of the look and temperament you prefer.

Many of the brachycephalic breeds of dogs - English bulldogs, pugs, Boston terriers - have to be delivered via c-section due to the size of the puppies. Breeders tend to pass this cost on to the buyers. As a c-section can cost up to $2,000, it does add some to the price.

As for which breed it better, you have to figure that one out for yourself. They are both very different, and come with very different temperaments and medical problems. Research both breeds, and see which fits your life better.

They are that expensive because it is a pure bred dog. An english bull dog is nicer than a rottiweller. If you want a mean dog, then you know what desicion to make.

They are expensive because they rarely breed naturally and the almost always require c-sections. All that costs money, and you usually do not get more than 2-5 puppies. And they have TONS of health problems!!!!!!

Proper breeding costs money. In my opinion, a rottweiler is a much better dog. But, an improperly bred one can be dangerous.

Depends, do ya like BIG dogs or not so BIG dogs. Remember, the more the dog weighs, the higher the vet bills.
