he is definitly someone worth admiring, he "fears God and shuns evil" Job 1:8. He has been put trough alot and still loves the Lord, I wanna be like Job lol I often doubt and question things when they dont go right but I am learning to trust the Lord with all my might and not lean on my own understanding.

I like Job. I actually felt sorry for him with all the stuff he went through. I still don't see why God allowed him to lose everything he had and be completely broken down to just about nothing even though he had his possessions and such restored in the end. It was still horrible. He has a stronger character than me. Job is one of my favorite books of the Bible though because he's the only person I can relate to the most.

In the Old Testament of the Bible, The Book of Job is the first of five books commonly called "The Books of Poetry" (the others are Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and The Song of Solomon). Estimates of its origin range from 1500 B.C. to 600 B.C., and the author is unknown, but it is assumed that the story of Job takes place sometime between Noah and Moses, and it is considered one of the earliest books of the Old Testament. In the story, Satan challenges God, saying that the loyal and righteous Job would abandon his faith if he were the victim of a series of terrible trials. God takes the bet and Job is subjected to a slew of raw deals. Job gets angry, but ultimately realizes the power and glory of God, and his faith carries him through. The theme of the story addresses the question of why bad things happen to good people, and is the source of the phrase "the patience of Job."

My life has never been as bad as Jobs got, but God gave Job back twice as much after his test. God is good all the time.

I would say that it is very admirable to be like Job.
After all, God is soposed to be our number 1 priority and we are so supposed to be willing to give up everything we have for God, and Job did that, and still never lashed back at God.

I think Job is an awesome example of perseverence in the face of trials and afflictions. Every time I think that my life sucks, all I have to do is think about Job and that puts things into perspective!

I'm married to him! My husband has gone through so much that his co-workers put up a "Job" sign on his office door when the problems get really bad.

I hate the man. He has his whole family die on him and is left. Gets a new family.. even bigger and lives happily ever after.. How does he do that?
I hate the God that did that to him even more for doeing that to the man.
Now lets praise his name.
