Sounds like something traumatized your puppy. If she refuses to go outside, buy some puppy pads and, for a few days, let her potty that way. Then you can try to take her outside again. Give her time to feel safe again.

Pick her up and carry her out. Are you going to let her make ALL of your decisions from now on? Hmm.. are you sure it's the same dog? Maybe she was abducted by aliens?
I'd also suggest reading some really good books on training. Try not to do it randomly - there are a lot of bad books out there also! These are some of my favorites:
What All Good Dogs Should Know - Volhard
Good Owners, Great Dogs - Brian Kilcommins
Don't Shoot the Dog - Pryor
Training Your Dog: The Step by Step Method - Volhard
Dog Tricks : Eighty-Eight Challenging Activities for Your Dog from World-Class Trainers by Haggerty and Benjamin
Dog Problems - Benjamin
Cesar's Way - Cesar Millan
Also, watch the Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic Channel. Cesar Millan is the best trainer I've ever seen on tv.

You will need to carry her out to go. Take treats with you and when she goes, give her a treat. That should help to make the outside a happy place. This could take a while.

Pretend you are going for a walk, put the leash on and go with your poppy for the next few weeks. Your puppy will eventually forget about it. Reasure your puppy every step of the way.

Pick her up, carry her outside. Stay with her. She will get over it. Do not let her start going in the house again.
You should never leave a dog outside by itself.

Yep............you are going to have to go out with her.....imagine a 4 year old being left out all night by itself....can you imagine how scared it would be to go out again.....that is wht you've got on your hands there....time will take care of itself....at this age their memories are pretty short....the tramatic things stick with them a little longer but she will get over it....just comfort her by being with her until she feels better about it.

Just stay out there with her for awhile. Play with her to let her know it is ok to be outside.
