Many Christians believe that the Bible is the ONLY authority for Christians. But did it fall from heaven? Someone had to put the Bible together. Wouldn't there have had to been another authority that actually chose and put the different books in the Bible together?

Then wouldn't Christians have to accept the authority of these men, who put the Bible together? You can no longer claim you only believe in the Bible.

Catholic Bishops chose which books were going to be in the Bible in the 4th century. Why don't Christians accept the authority of these men?

Read objective history, not the divinci code.
The council of nicea (325 A.D.) met to dicuss the divinity of Christ and the trinity, not the Bible! Bible was put together in 382, 393, 397, A.D.

The bible did not fall out of heaven, God gave us his word through men. Men of different shades and from every walk of life. Farmers, Prophet, Warriors, Doctors etc.
The bible says every scripture that was given was given by the inspiration of God. 2Tim.3:16

No, the Bible did not fall out of the sky or heaven. The O.T. is a collection of progressive revelation written down in individual scrolls or parchments. Men of God were given the Word of god to write down for posterity. Moses, King David, prophets such as Samuel, Jeremiah and others. One of the main characteristics of those books were the prophecies they contained as well as the historical accuracy in them. Jesus and the Apostles refer to passages or words from about all the O.T. books which validates them. The N.T. was written by mostly first century Apostles. The churches circulated the individual letters that made up the N.T. and The church fathers of the first few hundred centuries included almost all of the N.T. in portions of their letters to one another. As far as I know, the Bible was not but together in one book till the invention of the printing press in the early 1500's. (Gutenberg and his press). However the printer did not decide which books were canon or not. They were already established as mentioned above.

The Bible was written by many different people back before and after Jesus Christ was born. All of the authors were lead by God. Some of them wrote about the hardships they suffered as a result of following Jesus Christ, some wrote about the commands of God, and what it was like to follow Him. The Bible is the instruction book on how we should live our life.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:2Tim.3:16.
The Bible is the most widely read book in history. It's circulation totals in the billions.More copies of the Bible have been distributed than of any other book, and also in more languages.
Only God's spirit could enable his letter to humans to survive so long and in such a way.

You're onto the subject of Biblical canonization--the process by which the current books of the Bible were compiled into the modern Bible, and other books (such as the Gospel of Peter and Gospel of Thomas) were left out.
It is just recently we've been unearthing the texts of these lost gospels, and you can find many at Gospels.net

The Bible is written by "MAN" meaning HUMAN which if my memory serves me right has a tendency for exaggeration and self serving ambition. Also you have the task of choosing Bible number 1 or Bible #2 and so on...The New WorldTestament or the King James version and so on and on and on ....which reminds me of a Bee Gees song....."I Started A Joke"

The bible was invented in 325 CE (ad) by Roman Emperor Constantine. It took nearly one hundred more years (397 CE) before they tweaked it enough to make it official (canonized).
Prior to 325 CE (ad), the bible did not exist.
When people call it the "word of God," they are acknowledging they consider a pagan Roman Emperor (Constantine) to be God.

The Bible was written by human men, through the inspiration of God by the Holy Spirit. These men wrote on their own, but the words that they wrote were also the words of God as He inspired them to write.

The Bible did not fall out of the sky. Aposles and people that God chose wrote what God told them to write. Christians of the time looked up to these people but did not worship them as gods.

It didn't fall out of the sky, and didn't arrive by fax either, as one person said. It was put together by the Council of Nicea, and is believed to be divinely INSPIRED, not written.
