One main difference is that Protestants believe we can be saved only by God's grace. That is true, but as a Catholic I believe that we must choose to recieve that grace and keep it in us by following God's commands. Protestants believe that we are saved by faith alone, while Catholics believe that we are saved by faith accompanied by works, for faith without works is dead.

The early protestant religion (Lutheran) is different in lots of ways. first of Catholics pray to and worship Saints. Lutherans and most protestants do not. Catholics are very ritualistic in there services (only started using english in the mass instead of Latin in the 70's. When John Paul II was pope). The priests are not allowed to marry. Protestant preachers can but take a vow of poverty, that is why Catholics have huge churches and everyone else (except for Baptist) have small ones. Look up Martin Luther, and his protests against the Catholic Church and you will find the original differences.

Not different enough. With the reformation churches purged many of catholicisms perversions from their teachings, but the protestants retained many as well.
Jesus did away with the need for an organized religion, so the wise would leave all of them.

I think you mean Protestant?
Protestantism is one of three primary branches of Christianity. The term "Protestant" represents a diverse range of theological and social perspectives, denominations, individuals, and related organizations.
Its most commonly given definition is merely "any Christian denomination which is not Roman Catholic or Orthodox Christian"
You can read more about it here:
