Flowers would be appropriate. When I was about 5, I had a piano recital and my teacher came. When it was over, she gave me a beautiful bouquet of pink roses. I felt like such a princess; it was very special to me. I think she (if she's like most 3-year-olds) would absolutely flip if you gave her something like that. Candy would also be nice. Kids love candy. :-)

Yes, but a small bouquet of pink or peach roses, only 3 or 4 of them, with the stems cut short and tied with a little ribbon, is sufficient.
