You should comfort it for the days to come, because it underwent a serious trauma! It might remain scared of them for a while!

Only time will truly tell but in the meantime do NOT baby the dog and lavish love all over it. You need to be a strong leader and reassure your dog that you are in control and will protect it. Have you ever seen a toddler scrape his knee and then look around to see if anyone is watching? If no one saw, he'll go about his business of playing, but if Mom saw it and says "Oooh, poor baby!" he bursts into tears? Babying your dog will make him this that gosh, there really IS something to be afraid of!
Be very careful from this point on to only get your puppy around other quiet and well-behaved dogs for a long while. This means dogs that don't roughhouse or seem to pay him a lot of attention. This will help him get his confidence up that not all dogs are out to get him. If you really get stuck, work with a professional trainer, because the best time to fix this is now while he's still young.

Well if your puppy now only has half an eye and one leg, the answer is no. If it suffers from a slight post-traumatic stress it should recover. (Sarcasm, I find, is wasted here. What a stupid question - go to a god d*mn vets, or at least give some details.)
Think before I answer? Yes OK, I'll think about whether the person asking has been specific - my puppy has been attacked by a big dog - that could mean anything from a light scratching to a serious injury, and believe me, people are stupid enough to have a half dead animal and expect Yahoo Answers to be an alternative to a vet. Think before you question me.

Maybe. Maybe not. It depends on how traumatic the attack was for him. Dogs live in the moment. He'll usually get over it if you don't make a big, over-protective fuss over him when he's around other dogs. Find a few friendly dogs he can play with.

well i don't know. but i do know that he might be afraid of larger dogs than him because he might not want the same thing to happen to him again. or maybe he might just be afraid of all kinds of dogs and all sizes but i think you should get your dogs and other dogs and let them introduce themselves so your dog wont be afraid anymore.

Oh no! That's so horrible! Just give your poor puppy LOADS of love and tender care (literally spoil it or close to it) and i think your puppy will get better.
