HOW to calculate SAT score?

I don't know what scores to add to get my overall score. Could you help?

The SAT now has 3 components

- Math, with a maximum score of 800 points

- English with a maximum score of 800 points

- Written Essay, also with a maximum of 800 points.

In the past 1,000 and above was considered an average or slightly above average score. So it follows that 1,500 would be that level and 2,400 would be a perfect score.
