Honestly! As a parent, I can tell when a young man is lying or being honest, because I was young once and know the games young people play. Don't just say what you think they want to hear. Speak the truth boy!

If this was asked to me my answer would be the intensions are within the honour of making you proud of your daughter and therby I am confirming that she is in safe hands for I/we have no intension of going any further on this date and that if we do we would like you to know that if it eventualy happens then it will be fait and we will have atleast been together(well talk about a date) months.

Sounds like what a parent would say. You could say right now I just want to be her friend. Then if her values are the same as mine it could become more. What would you like to see? Then you will know how they feel about you.

Your answer has to be the truth and come from you. If you try to feed a parent a "line". The dad will know. Remeber this, dad's use to be younger. They know what you're thinking and what you're gonna try to be up to. They're not stupid!

How about something like this: "My intentions are to treat your daughter with the dignity and respect she and all young ladies dererve". AND BE SURE YOU MEAN IT.

I'd say "I just really like your daughter alot, we have a lot in common and i enjoy spending time with her"

you could simply say "i care for her and i want to be with her, we dont plan on having sex, we just enjoy each others company"
and see what they say to that. if they still have suspicions, give presents to the paerents, like flowers to the mom, or you can have them meet your parents, akward as it may be, and have a big fat get together, it worked for my bf...it might work for you
