Unless there has been some -- drastic changes, financial aid barely cover a bag of chips after educational finances are deducted. If you are starting from "bare bones" and you are a minor, you may want to re-think how much of what you have now can be stretched until you can successfully finance at least 75% of your basic needs - food, clothing, shelter & contents. If in the near future you decide to have a roommate - pick one that can be self-reliant at the 75% level as well. Both of you will have a little bit of change to spoil yourself. Another rommate could cut the percentage down to 50% self-reliant for each of you. This can be considered "drama insurance". In addition to classes, there is employment and you'll have to plan and think ahead of routines (cleaning, sleeping, laundry, meals, work, study, attending classes ---- girls, girls, girls).

Unless you have liberal parent(s) that are in excellent physical condition, you may want to slow the role of independent student. It won't be 4-ever. Some institutions have on-line classes in addition to traditional classes. Some of these institutions will accept completed on-lince coursework from other institutions. Liberal Arts courses can be accomplished at a community college and many technical institutions. You could delay initiating the amount of debt in student loans for at least a year by living at home for a few more moments and work to purchase your car :)

financial aid is supposed to be used for expenses relating to school including rent or cars but financial aid folks are not there to help you find a car or an apartment. you have to do that yourself.

You can get student loans for usually around $2500 per quarter or semester. You apply for them in the financil aid office. You don't have to pay them back till you graduate or are out of school for 6 months. Best wishes

well i supose it could help u get an apartment and car, because its like credit. If u keep paying off ur finacial aid then that looks really good on ur part, so as long as u are responsible and pay ur bills it should be all good.
