You said she is you friend so why would you not go? If my friend was having a reception on Sunday, then YES I would go. I would want to be there to share her happy day with her so that we could look back on it when we are old and remember all the fun we had.

I'm wondering if you are thinking that it would not be honoring the Lord's day if you go to a wedding reception on Sunday. I don't know if that's what you were thinking. I'm guessing. I will say that a wedding is a blessing and receptions are a wonderful fellowship - a celebration of something wonderful and beautiful (Christian or not). She is a good friend and you should be at her celebration. Remember that Jesus performed his first miracle at a wedding reception. Have fun!

I really think that you should go. Friends are to be there through it all. A wedding is a BIG step. I am pretty sure she wants you there and will be very hurt if you didn't go. So what if its on a Sunday? what matters is you being there for your friend. You shouldn't even have to think twice about going.

Yes, if you are invited, you should go. Leave early, if you must.
