We are both in the military, she can get out in a little over a year, yet i have 3+ years left. We have a 5 month old daughter, and contemplating having another child. some say say it it way too soon, but my feelings on it are that there will be 14 months between the two kids. Shoud we continue to wait or start trying again?

I wanted to start trying again the day after my son was born! My husband and I were both in the military at that time. I got out four months later while he was in Iraq. I convinced my command to give me an honorable discharge so I could stay at home with my baby. I'm 11 weeks pregnant now. We got pregnant when my son turned 10 months. I'm glad we waited a little longer than I wanted to because he's more independent now. Honestly, it's up to you two. Good luck and God bless.

If you can put up with 2 years of no sleeping and 2 in diapers, then at least it will all be done that much earlier. Get it all out of the way at once kind of thing.
My brother and I are 15 months apart. My mom never said we were too much at once to handle.
I know people who are 11 months apart. Their mom says it was definitely too early. Best if they are walking and playing on their own more when the new one comes.

Well, my 1st and 2nd kids are 6 years apart so i wouldn't wait that long... but my 2nd and 3rd kids are 16 months apart and it is very hard on the mothers body and on the both of you once the kid comes.... but many people have kids 1 right after the other... so if you want to and think you can do it go for it....

Don't let anyone tell you what to do! If you want to have another child, then you should! Don't wait just because other people tell you it's too soon! If you feel it's the right time to have another child, the go for it! Good luck in whatever you choose...

i think its to soon a female body needs time to heal after giving birth, dnt forget the uterus was stretched with the first child, it wont go back to the oringal size but allow some time to pass. further more if u still have time in military wait to have nxt child , where as one parent is nt left alone in case of deployment. cryn babies are no fun, dont forget children require ALOT of attention so u guys can pace urself. whatever ur decision iss good luck on it.

if you think you're up for it, go for it! the closer they are in age, the better companions they'll be, and the eldest will be too young to be too jealous, hopefully! Good luck, whatever you do!
