Most would tell me to get involved with sports but I really dont get along with all the "preps" who play the sports, and would feel much out of place there. Sports just arent my thing, not that im in bad shape or anything, I actually work out every evening and am stronger then almost all the sport players. Im much more into music especially guitar and drums. I just hesitate to ask any girls because I know they think I'm a nerd.

You shouldnt have to prove you arent a nerd to any girl that is worth it.. I'm sure there is a girl out there with her eye on you and she knows you arent the least bit nerdy.. so dont worry too much about it now.. you'll get yourself a nice girlfriend once you get over the hesitation.

You know, if you don't like the preps, then find a different kind of girlfriend. There are alot of girls who would go for brains instead of looks. I being one of them. I think you shoulds just be your self and the right girl will come along.

You shouldnt have to "prove" anything to anyone. I know alot of girls that think nerds are hot not saying that you are one, but smile show confidence and strike up random conversations with girls you like about stuff (non-romantic) I'm sure you see guys everyday that arnt as cute as you and have mad dates, observe them, dont try to be just like them. Just be yourself and observe..things will work out. Keep hope alive!

you know we are so similar. im called a "nerd" sometimes because i get all A's, but i have tons of friends. and, i LOVE music, i play the electric guitar. dont hesitate. you seem like a really awesome guy. rock on!

You don't have to "prove" anything to anybody!!! That is your problem....Confidence in yourself is the biggest attraction there is. Once you stop worrying so much about what people think of you, you'll be surprised how attractive you become to the girls..And by the way, If you don't feel it now...ACT like you do until you REALLY do. It works.

well, my advice is to talk to her, but about something shell understand. I'm 13 and my IQ is 143. its so hard to find people that are more or of an adequate intelligence. i mean i understand rocket science completely and I'm in a grade above what i should be. Just talk to her and be kind. not mushy, not ultra smart, but normal things. ask her about music or movies. who knows maybe you'll hit it off with her!

You will meet somebody maybe in college because I would rather be with somebody smart and go somewhere in life with them then just being with anybody else. Nerds get good money and have better lifes

be yourself and tell them you like music. i love guys who are into music. maybe a girl in your area will like that part of you and give you a try. just be very polite and if she turns you down, don't turn into a stalker or something. no means no. move on and try another girl. good luck. oh and have plenty of confidence in yourself. not too much that you turn cocky, but just enough so that the girl can feel safe with you. good luck.

You sound like a guy with brains...just work on your confidence. That is attractive to women. Just because one girl turns you down if you just keep your head up and work on your self presentation you might be surprised.
