Why yes. Most people prefer to be anesthetized during the procedure and are on morphine for weeks after. The scars should heal in about a month though.

Hair coloring is not painful at all. Highlights don't hurt either. Now, highlights are bleach and bleach isn't really good for your hair, but it doesn't hurt. If your hair is long and you want highlights or lowlights, then your stylist will use foils. If your hair is short and you want highlights or lowlights, your stylist might have to use the cap. Sometimes the cap can be painful because the stylist is pulling peices of hair through a tiny hole, but the stylist should never use the cap on long hair.

Yes, it's incredibly painful espescially if you have dark hair. Also if you don't get it dyed by a specialist your hair starts to fall out. It doesn't hurt as much if you stand in a bucket of scrambled eggs and wear hat. Good luck on your quest. Email us any questions.

It depends...if they are doing highlights and pulling it through tiny holes in a cap, it can hurt a bit, especially if you are PMS'ing.
Also, the chemicals can be irritating to the nose and eyes of some people that are sensitive.
It's never PAINFUL to get your hair colored, but it can be a tad uncomfortable.

Yes. If you want your hair green, you have to use a nitrogen-based dye, like nitric acid. This tends to eat off your cranial skin, and can be very painful. But the bright side is you won't have dandruff.

No, it only can be if you have a reaction to the dye, or if you have a very sensitive scalp. but I beleive thats very rare. I've dyed my hair hundreds of times, and its never been painful.

It can itch and burn if you're dying hair on a clean, dry scalp. Always dye hair that's "a couple of days dirty", and you can apply a pomade around the hairline to prevent dye from getting on your face and neck.

The only thing i've noticed (Im 34 and 90% gray) is it might tingle the more amonia the stronger the tingle and smell. Natural Instincts is a good short term little tingle low amonia color for you to try.
