You could try letting it soak with a little water and a fabric softener sheet. Or you could try boiling it on the stove, just water and dish soap for a while and then scrubbing. Sometimes the tines of a fork make a good scrubber on stainless steel.

I would let it soak, like the others said, in the hottest water you can get from your kitchen sink with a good measure (like 1/4-1/2 c.) of salt, depending on the size of your pan. Let it soak long enough for the water to cool down to just warm, and scrub it with a dish brush, should come off really easily. This also works for casserole dishes that has something cooked on there real good.
Also, regular table salt is the perfect cure to too many dish soap suds when washing dishes. The salt kills the bubbles!

This happened to me just last week. I boiled water and vinegar and it came off. Could also try baking soda

All you have to do is spray some oven cleaner let it sit until you can see the stain has lifted.
