Also, if we are to take the Bible as it is, why do pastors preach and explain it, sometimes 15 min or one verse?

Because pastors are wrongly attempting to justify their absolute control over the minds of religious people. They are also trying to get as much money into the collection plate as possible. Those are the two pillars of the Christian platform.

Perhaps you find Church boring because you do not understand what is going on. In addition, it is a pastor's job to teach the faith. This means preaching, sometimes 15 minutes or more on a single verse.

Rather than sit there feeling sorry for yourself, you might try paying attention to what your pastor is saying. Perhaps then, you won't find Church so boring.

It isn't always. Like some classes at school, some people are bored and some like it a lot. There are other places to worship.

We take the bible as it is. But because of what God wants us to understand one verse can give us a lot of information or instruction. Like when Mom says NO it can mean a lot of different things. Like "No, you can't go" or "No, you don't have to do the dishes" And each of these phrases can be read a different way to increase its meaning.

If you find church boring, it's time to find a new church. You need to be in a church where the Pastor keeps thing interesting. And where you are getting something out of what's being taught.

Where did you get the idea that God is exciting? I know God is omnipotent. omnipresent, omniscient, loving, considerate, kind, awesome, etc, but never have I read in the Bible that God is exciting!!

Many find church boring because they are so accustomed to the entertainment industry that they expect church to fall in line. If it is entertainment you want, go the the cinema, view TV, attend a ball game, go to the disco or rock concert, etc. Church is not for entertainment.

That depends on the church, some are very exciting. Also, the Bible is complex and it takes more than that to explain one verse.

Because man put his two cents in on the traditions of church. Try different churches though, some are very motivating, exciting and fun.

No offense to Cathlics but my step-daughters are catholic and say their church is boring, they've gone to mine (Jehovah's Witness) and one of them won't stay home for nothing! She loves going and has even started a bible study even though her mom is opposed! My other step-daughter said she liked going when she lived with us and hates going to hers. Spread your wings ; )

it's out of box thinking when we talk about god and so its exciting, church/temple/mosque/Gurudwara etc are in the box thinking so it's boring.
