Being in Christ is a spiritual walk in love and truth, which means that the carnal aspect of our natures has been, and is being, overcome.

Don's answer is excellent. When you are born you have two natures, a carnal nature and a sin nature. When you decide to follow Jesus Christ, He puts a divine nature in you. You become new and start dying to the old carnal and sin natures. Check out www.jsm.org You can email and ask them anything.

He has been cleansed from all of the sin he committed before. He now seeks to serve Christ. He is a new man in his purpose and the one he serves,

It means that the new Christian can sit on their hands and wait to die and go to heaven. They don't have to do a single thing to make the world better. They can even commit all kinds of crimes and get them forgiven later. It must be nice to believe in that fairytale!

We have to shed our old personality and become new, meaning leaving old/bad habits behind. If we're in Christ we're abiding by his laws and living accordingly.

It means that you don't have to live the way you did before you became a Christian- it's like starting over in life- turning over a new leaf! Hooray! Hallelujah!

He is a changed person. He is Born Again, as in John 3. He isn't in love with the world anymore, but loves God. It is a personal experience you are in with God.
