i am guilty of this also...but as i get older i am way less judgemental about peoples looks and try to get to know people...i much rather befriend a dirty homeless person..with good morals and values and is kind and caring then- say Tom Cruise! I know that many people judge me because i am very overweight...but i am one of the most kind and compationate people i know...and i also know that if i lost 100lbs i would be very attractive and i would hope i wouldn't change a bit!
so what are your opinions on this subject?
no rudeness or sarcasm--thank you

people judge others by their looks because they are shallow. I use to be horrible when I was a teenager, but the older I get the more I realize I have no right to judge people. Especially now that I have kids, I don't want them to be little jerk teenagers like I was.

Because they are shallow. Instead of looking inside a person to see what they are really like they tend to focus on the outward appearance. This is sad & I hope one day these people grow up & see others as God does. Bueatiful!!!

People judge to make themselves feel better. Conciously or not evryone is insecure in some part of their life (sexuality, mental image, body image) so they take that fear and turn it in to anger towards those that may be less fortunate than themselves. I as a functioning member of sciety am a witness and unfortunate participant in this activity and it makes me sick. People should make love, not war.
