Did you read the directions on the bottle or from your doctor? I'll bet it says no alcohol while on these medications. Have an O'Douls for God's sake!

I was on Effexor years ago, and I think it's relatively safe to drink a very small amount. However, I would be more cautious about the Lithium. Call the pharmacist and double check. They are experts on knowing about all the drug interactions.

If you took them this morning they should already have worn off by the time you want a beer tonight. Look on the bottles to see how long they last just to make sure.

You should probably ask your doc first. Also, you should know how the beers will effect you, positive or negative. Maybe have just one first and see how it goes. See whether its worth the mental and physiological costs.

You should never mix alcohol and pills. Your prescription should have come with this warning. Talk to your doctor if you have concerns.

You shouldn't drink while on anti-depressants. Maybe one beer.
