Well, if you are ordering a DVD then you aren't ordering a tape, not a DVD. The easy answer is that you can't convert a DVD to VHS... EASILY because one, DVD is a digital format, VHS is analog, digital to analog conversions are difficult. Analog to Digital however is very easy. Not to mention all the copy protection contained within DVDs that prevent this very thing. Even if you could copy it, the picture would be messed up or not viewable at all. My reccomendation is to go out and get a DVD player, they're what... $35, http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Polaroid-DVD-Player-DHM-0100-/sem/rpsm/oid/124117/catOid/-12873/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do trust me that is MUCH LESS costly than if you tried to convert a DVD to VHS, you'd spend at least $150 on equipment alone.

How exactly are you ordering a "tape that doesnt come out in VHS"? How can you convert "the tape from DVD to VHS". That makes absolutely no sense. DVD is a "Disc". It's a round thing. Looks like a CD. Tape is "VHS". Try to figure out what you're asking, before putting it up here, if you don't want smart a s s answers.

Unfortunately most DVD movies are macrovision encoded. So you would need to find someone to rip the DVD to a computer and burn an unprotected copy, then record from the copy using a DVD player and a VHS recorder.

Did you know, though, that you can get DVD players for around $25 these days?

I would just go buy a dvd player, you can get some at Wal*Mart for $20. I got one from there not that long ago, but good luck with that.
