i met this guy who seems perfect, i enjoy my time with him, and he a realy gentleman, who treats me like a queen, but he's overwieght, and is a total nerd, like i would be embarassed to take him in front of my freinds, is this too shallow?..

That is pretty shallow; but at least you care enough to wonder whether it's wrong. Under the circumstances, it may be more right for you to leave him alone; you may end up hurting him more by giving him false hope, and end up turning him bitter about women in general.
OTOH, if you can get over your own vanity, you might find that your intuition about him seeming perfect is more true than you realize. This could be a real opportunity for growth in your life.

How old are you? You must be a teenager. You will grow out of being so shallow eventually, but by that time this great guy will have moved on and found someone who is not so shallow. You need to decide what is more important, you can never get anywhere in love and life if you don't take chances. I understand that it matters to you what your friends think, but sometimes you have to put your friend's opinions to the side and follow your heart. Good luck.

Are you young? Probably.
When you get a little older, you will realize that having a man treat you right is better than a good looking man mistreating you and forgetting to call and disappearing with some girl's number you found in his coat pocket "by accident".
You are being given an opportunity that you will only learn with experience and making mistakes in judgement is part of that.

Yes it is shallow. That is how society is these days... it's all about appearances. If he's a great guy and treats you well then he is a great catch. I think it's HIM who would be settling for something less than he deserves if he stays with you. You're more concerned about what other people say than what you feel. Let him go so he can find someone worthy of him.

if you are in high school, it is pretty ok. but then again, he may the "one" for you. You should give him a chance. How many guys do you know who treats you so perfect like he does? Do you wanna go out with a dream boy who will treat you bad, or would you date a nerd who really respects you? the choice is yours.

It's not wrong, but it is kind of idiotic if he's perfect in every other way. Weight is a controllable issue, and popularity doesn't mean anything. Perhaps if you gave him a reason to lose weight, you might be amazed at what's under there.

yeah, it is kinda shallow. after all appearance comes and goes. imagine how u would feel if u were in a similar situation. looks don't matter that much. whar really is important is what is inside and ur guy sounds like a great guy to me.

SHOCK THEM ALL!! you sound like your describing my son, makeyourself happy and if your friends give him a chance they might like him too , if not who needs friends that dont support you, it crazy but my son has had some of the prettiest and skinny girlfriends,.. maybe because they know he can protect them if they need it , maybe he's overweight because he's depressed that he dont have a girlfriend so he eats ...you could change his life !
