I have seen the websites like drdino.com. They are supposed to be reputable, but provide no evidence that is factual, or complete. Also, there is no evidence that supports the creationist standpoint. It just does not make sense to me to defend something which has no proof, and at the same time deny something that has so much proof.

The "buildings need a builder" argument is flawed. Not everything is made from intention. Does a tree grow because someone made it grow? No. The circumstances were just right for it to sprout, soak up nourishment, and grow. Buildings need builders, nature does not.

To nothing: That is the worst overall answer I have seen. Please learn about evolution before you deny it. Almost everything you said about it is untrue. Get your educated.

Speaking of education, I left out a word in that last part. Oops. I guess I need to get back in school.

Just look at the first guy's response to understand how they do it. They start by having total ignorance of evolutionary theory, and simply blindlessly accept the false portrayals of evolution put forth by people like Dr. Dino. Once you have such a cartoonish perspective of what evolution is, it's easy to accept other cartoonish explanations that more closely match your mental virus (aka religion).

Yah sure, if evolutionary theory said "water was added to a magic rock and it exploded into life", then of course that would be insanely rediculous (unless it was magic god water of course).

Creation "science" is pushed by charlatans onto the gullible, by using scientific sounding words, misrepresenting evolution, pointing out past frauds in the field (yes, there are some), attacking obsolete positions rather than the latest discoveries, etc.

Evolution makes predicitions about what we see in the fossil record and where they should be found in the earth's crust (or depth in the geologic column). So one can start by refuting the millions of independantly collected and verified evidence that supports evolution either by showing all the scientists to be faulty, or by giving a better theory that supports all the found evidence.

Since no one has done this, or put forward any evidence to suggest otherwise, we will stick with evolution.

Creationism is indeed a joke, it is just an attack on evolutionists, they have no real theory of there own, except that 'god did it' is a good enough answer to every question.

This is the scenario evolutionists claim, describing the transformation of inanimate and unconscious atoms into animate organisms, and most significantly, into people with high levels of consciousness and intelligence.
After the Big Bang, atoms, containing precisely balanced forces, somehow brought themselves into being. While some of the atoms, adequate in number to form the whole universe, formed the stars and the planets, and some others the earth. Some of the atoms making up the earth initially formed the land and later on, suddenly decided to form living beings! These atoms first transformed themselves into cells with highly complex structures and then produced copies of the cells they formed by splitting into two, after which they started speaking and hearing. Subsequently, these atoms transformed into university professors viewing themselves under the electron microscope and claiming that they came into being coincidentally. Some atoms came together to form civil engineers who construct bridges and skyscrapers, while some others came together to manufacture satellites, space crafts and yet others specialised in the disciplines of physics, chemistry and biology. Atoms like carbon, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and iron came together to form, instead of a dark mass, perfect brains of exceptional complexity, the secrets of which have not yet been fully unravelled. These brains started seeing 3-dimensional images with a perfect resolution never yet achieved by any technology. Some of the atoms formed comedians and laughed at the jokes comedians made. Again, some atoms composed music and enjoyed listening to it.

That's why I believe a bit of both. You know how when two people are fighting with each other and you get each person's side? Well if you take both sides and the extremes and the similiarities and really think about it, you'll find that the truth is usually somewhere right in the middle of both of the sides. Same goes with evolution and creation. Somwhere between the two of those is the truth.

The problem with trying to have a logical discussion on any religious topic, is that religion isn't logical. I believe in evolution and I also consider myself to be a moral, religious person (I happen to be a very active member of a main-line protestant church). That doesn't mean I'm right. It just works for me. My father in law is a real ultra conservative who thinks the old testament should be taken word for word. He thinks dinosaur bones were placed by the Devil to lead us astray. How do you argue with that? I've tried, and gotten nowhere. All we can do is follow our beliefs and try to be tolerant of others. If we all do this, then we're all okay.

the evolution theory is the stupidest theory that people bring up. it doesn't make sense at all that we evolve from ape. we have to ask then what did ape evolve from and then what did that thing evolve from, and no can answer that becuase it's a flawed theiroy. the only real answer is that we were created, and apes and all other creatures were created by God. One can ask why is it that there is a male and a female, and only the female can get pregnant and not the male. the only answer to that would be God created us that way.

And therein lies the problem with faith.
We have faith in science and creationists have faith in the bible.
It makes no sense to me either but having read some of the creationist posts and visited some of the sites it's obvious that to accept evolution would be as ridiculous to them as it would be for us to deny it.

A day with God could have been several hundred thousand years at that point. Man made a day 24 hours. So you could kind of believe in both with this thinking.

The term that is used is known as the BIBLE! Now I agree with a little of both so you must understand that I beilieve that what the bible tells me is true, but who is to say that "One day" as quoted from Genisis is not Two hundred billion years in our histroy? Faith is what it comes down to, faith in what one sees, ow what was is told.

Do you live in a house, did it just appear after an explosion?

If your house had a builder, than how can you say this amazing planet that you live on didn't.
