Not much after the government in Mexico decided to make the railroad industry a private owned one and not one owned by the government they abandoned many routes on which the N DE M use to operate now nobody uses them a good example would be the Mexico City to Cuernavaca route this route was abandoned when the N DE M collapsed and apart from tourist railroads there is no more passenger train service in Mexico. I use to live in Mexico and I have liked trains since I was about 3 years old in Mexico I use to love watching the N DE M trains I own a book on the history of the N DE M and the development of the railroad in Mexico and I have many newspaper articles from when the
