The early Christian politicians had to get together and decide which of the hundreds of gospels would be formed into the official Bible. And you know how well politicians can be trusted! They picked the books that would give the Church the most power and control over other people. Now that it has been 2000 years, most people have forgotten that MEN wrote the gospels and the Church burned many of them that did not support the Church's direct authority over humanity. If they changed it now, it would remind people that the Church defines the Bible, not God.

why cant religion just say we believe god is the start and we dont have all the science behind it, and it isnt our discipline to say,

by all means leave the book as it was originally, and let me as a person study it and interpret it

so moses didnt have a microscope

my faith isnt changed because moses didnt have a microscope

and religion should leave it as it was originally and not change ANYTHING

not the science

not the words

science changes its book because of facts

but the original authors if they did talk to God then they did, and they wrote what god wanted,
that hasn't changed unless someone talks to god

john smith said he did and wrote the mormon thing,

worthy of study sure

No one can change the Bible. If they change the Bible then it no longer remains to be the Bible.

Revelation 22:18-19

18-For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19-And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I guess coz scientists change there opinions about evolution. I thought the Bible had been edited a few times. I guess u can't change the Bible coz its meant to be the word of God. Read this bloke's question. I found it quite interesting.

The Bible is a sacred book that we can't change. You want to write a theory of your own, then write your own book. Don't go messing with such a sacred OLD book.

The Bible states that anyone who ads or removes from this Book is blashemy. Maybe you should actually read the Bible before you start dissing it.

You're free to change it if you want. Other people have. There are children's versions, teen versions, gender neutral versions, versions that change "slave" to "servant" and gloss over all the other distatsefull parts, etc.

that is why science is better
scientists are always trying to improve and are moving forward
while the religious don't care about facts or the truth

If you think it needs to be changed, then why bother with it at all? I wouldn't. But since it works, I figure, why fix it?
