It needs some moisture. I suggest buy some hot oil treatments for it. Plus, wash it every other or third day, but condition it every single day. And also, look for a leave in conditioner.

each hair strand follows a specific method basing on ur dna code.if it has to fall flat then u cant make it stand erect.
in ur case if ur hair naturally grows towards ur forehead then anypressure or methods to make it go backwards will leave it standing erect.this is because of the induction caused by the comb.if u leave it like that then it will come back to its original flow.
PS: u r a liar, ur hair was never smooth not even in ur dreams.

Trust me,i know a/b this stuff.Whatever ur race and texture is,it sounds like u need moisture.I suggest washing it less and conditoning it more. But if u black,is sound straight up like u need a relaxer and some grease lol.

hairspray? Moose? Grease? or just gravity it could be a number of factors. If you haven't washed in days the grease could make it stay up.

Are you using a conditioner every time you shampoo? If not, better start and fast.
