Starting to try and get in the dating seen again. Have been widowed for a little over two years and was married for almost 12. I meet guys that I like but don't have a clue what to do.

There's a lot to be said for body language, despite all of the stuff you see in trashy magazines which claim to show you "how". If you're not the touchy feely type by nature, get used to it, because it really matters especially if you happen to be out in a group. You can use touch to acknowledge something funny they said or a small nudge in agreement.... Start with the small wee things like asking if he wants to help you with the drinks round. Find out more about what HE likes, but more importantly, find some common ground that you both can get excited about...Film? Music? This probably isn't a surprise, but just about every guy loves when a girl asks LOTS of questions about him...

If a guy is interested he will go out of his way to spend time with you. Sometimes he will ask for your phone number. If he is shy he might not. Why dont you take the lead and ask him to a party or something low key so there will be no pressure.

I know how hard is must be...but it will happen and it will be the way you want it. The guy should always make a move...just make sure you give the hint that your interested too. You could always be really daring and ask him out....what have you got to lose?

I know they're called blind dates but you've gotta start somewhere.

be yourself - they will ask you out - also, you need to start to feel comfortable again so don't worry if things don't fall right into place immediately - they will - you're getting comfortable in some clothes you have not worn for a while, but soon they will fit just the way they used to. keep your chin up and your smile - its easier to approach someone who smiles.
