should I take some time to heal emotionally, or go for another girl who seem to show interest in me; despite that I feel emotionally devastated - I don't want to be alone

You need time. A relationship is like a tree. When it dies you have to figure out what went wrong. Then you have to fill in the hole where the tree was, before you can plant another tree. In short, take some time to contemplate your old relationship. Where did it go right? Where did it go wrong? Only after you are whole again should you start dating. Otherwise that girl you want to date is just a transitional relationship and that isn't fair to her.

Give yourself time to heal emotionally. If you don't, then she would be known as the transitional, and they hardly ever work out. Someone will only end up getting hurt in the end.
No one ever really wants to be alone, but you need to take time and heal emotionally.

You should do both. Heal and go for another girl. But dont do it the wrong way. Just hang out with the girl. Alot. Just make sure you take it slow, since you still need time to heal. The girl, if a good one, will help you heal also.

You need time to heal from the other relationship. The new relationship could be in jeopardy if you don't take time to get your emotions under wraps. If she was really interested. she will understand that now may not be the time to jump into anything. No one ever wants to be alone, but sometimes you have to, to take care of yourself. Best wishes!

Hmm...going out on the rebound is common but not really productive. Heal yourself first.

If you don't want to be alone, get involved in activities and hang out with friends. Getting out of the house and being with people will make you feel so much better.

One word of advice, don't look for love and you'll find it.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Better Luck going forward.

Think of it this way, it just wasn't meant to be.

I was in the same situation your were in and what worked for me was that i asked a girl that showed interest in me to hang out go play pool and stuff and just be her friend. Then I waited about a month when I was ready to ask her out. That way i wasn't committing to anything and i was not alone either.

Take it slow but do open yourself up to another possibility. I always told my kids growing up the way to get over a love is find a brand new one...lol
