I see on TV that a lot of christians and catholics will picket in front of abortion clinics saying its a sin and murder and wrong. Why don't they take care of all the unwanted babies for people who can't afford to or for the kids that are 15 or younger having kids who are not ready to be parents? I was just wondering what you all think of that idea.

Don't get me wrong I don't think abortion is a nice thing but I also think its not everyones business what you do with your body. I guess I dont get why they think it is somehow their business to get into other womens business. And by the way no one said children should be having sex but lets face it they are and in the christian religion they say not to use protection. Uh so if there is a child who wants to have sex they are gonna do it and if they think condoms are wrong then they could get pregnant. So think about it. Oh and for the girl who asked how old I am I am 30. I am not immature I am just practical.

I know I do agree with you.I don't get how they don't want you to have a baby out of wedlock and if you do they look down at you and if you have an abortion they look down at you. But their is a lot of people out their who want baby's and can not have their own.But I think that it should be up to the woman. If she wants to have an abortion. It is her body and she has to make that choice for herself. No one should tell someone else what to do with their life's.That is one thing that is wrong with the world now.Everyone in everyone Else's business and everyone trying to tell everyone how to live their life's.

Abortion may not be right, however, lying, cheating, being rude to a neighbor, putting money ahead of God are all sins too and in God's eyes all sin is equally bad. It is because this is a thing that only applies to one gender, female, that there is so much hypocrisy about it. Men can picket and harass ad nauseum because they know it is a choice they will never have to make themselves. It is the curse of Eve syndrome where men make themselves feel better by telling themselves that Eve (woman) is responsible for all the sin in the world. Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". In my opinion, people who picket in front of abortion clinics are stone throwing hypocrites. They have no idea what these women have gone through or how they got pregnant. (Some have been taken advantage of and/or raped.) If the protesters were true Christians, they would approach these women with love, not hate. If they were true Christians, they would be out there adopting all the unwanted babies so those children could be raised in a Christian home and they wouldn't have time to picket. It is obvious that these protestants and catholics who picket in front of clinics are not Christians but people who want to shine a spotlight on someone else's sins in order to take the focus off of their own. Their lack of compassion shows their true nature. True Christians have the love of God in their hearts and don't treat others in such a hateful manner.

I do not feel abortion should be used as a form of birth control however, I think abortion is a personal choice. The picketers do not know if the pregnancy is a product of rape, incest, etc. and it shouldn't matter to them. Instead of picketing maybe they should put the energy into adopting a homeless, unwanted child.
I have never had an abortion but I would appreciate it if some people would keep their religion out of my ovaries. (jmho)

I think it's good in theory, but the initial issues is that people shouldn't be having sex out of wedlock. Now I am a newer age christian, and I won't judge the fornicators (because I have done a bit of it myself). So I would say at least they should wear condoms. But I won't judge anyone for that because I have not been on top of my game with that all the time either. But, if I got a girl pregnant it is now our (mine and hers) responsibility to take care of that child, and raise it (I only say it because it is a hypothetical child) the best we know how.
That responsibility should not fall on anyone else, regardless of their views on abortion.
At the very least we should put it up for adoption (which is still a cop out)
People have to learn to take responsibility for their actions. If you do things that are going to cause you to get pregnant, and you get pregnant. Then take responsibility for that action. Having sex is a very mature decision, and when immature people do it, they are not prepared for the very real consequences.

Abortion is wrong. But im not going to judge anyone. Thats for God. But I do agree that if they have all that free time to be protesting. They should put some of that energy into taking care of the babies and children that are left behind and abused. The money they use for other things could be put to better use

Why don't stupid people practice safe sex or abstinence? Then there wouldn't be any unwanted kids or parents who are too young to care for their kids. And by the way, there are a lot of christian funded facilities that take in unwanted children and try to adopt them out to loving foster parents.

well that is true that they picket and think abortion is wrong.
The government makes it very hard to adopt.
And kids 15 or under shouldn't even be having sex let alone have kids...so whose responsibility should it be?
Most people who decide to have an abortion are not misinformed and would rather kill it than give it up for adoption.
Life isn't fair... I don't know how old you are...but you need to realize that .

I do not believe in abortion and it is a sin.. However, you make a very good point. There should be more support for all the people having unwanted babies.

It is much easier to picket than it is to raise an unwanted child. Christians always look for the easy way out.

I agree. If all that time and energy were put into helping eliminate the need for abortion the abortion rate would go down. These groups should also put more time into strengthening families and caring for neglected children.
