He's a really sweet guy, but he lives in the UK and I'm in the US. I wouldn't exactly call it "leading on" because he was the one who started talking about dating and one day marriage, and that's too much for me right now. I've met someone nice who lives right here, and I want to dump this guy on the net, but I don't want to hurt his feelings, just explain that we live too far away for anything to work out. Help?

just let the guy know how you feel. in person dating is much better than on-line dating. if the on-line guy freaks out you can always avoid him.

Be careful when contacting strangers. Especially from outside the country. There many people out there looking for money and/or help getting to the US or Canada. Maybe he's trying to lead you on to solicit money.
Watch for the signs. Telling you that they have feelings for you after a very short time. Saying that they would come and visit if you wanted them to. And , watch their English grammar. If they speak poorly, they're not from the UK or some other English speaking country.
I've come across lots of these people. Be Careful.

No, you won't burn in hell.

But you have to do the right thing and dump the guy on the net.

Keep it real. Might as well hurt now and get over it for life, or live now and hurt forever........
