some chopped cherry tomatoes: to taste
1 t. kosher salt
2 T. of lime juice
2 T. olive oil
cayenne pepper: to taste
chopped cilantro: to taste

What to do:

Halve the avocado, then halve the halves
cross-cut the avocado, so that it is in chunks

Guacamole ala Dave

Use only Hass avacados the dark bumpy skinned variety, which are buttery-rich.
If you can't find truly ripe tomatoes, leave them out.

2 large ripe Hass avacados
2 small red-ripe tomatoes, preferably Romas or other Italiam plum variety, chopped
¼ cup chopped cilantro
Juice of 1 lemon
1 Jalapeno, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
½ tsp. salt

In a bowl, mash the avacado roughly, leaving a few toothsome chunks.
Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Serve warm within 30 minutes as a garnish.

Guacamole Sencillo

Serves 8 to 12

2 to 3 garlic cloves, peeled
Hot fresh green chiles to taste (I’d choose 2 serranos), stems removed
3 ripe avocados, preferably the black-skinned Hass
A couple of tablespoons chopped fresh Mexican herbs (such as cilantro, pipisa or pápalo)
1 small white onion (fresh onion-green tops still on-is best), finely chopped
Salt
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
A little crumbled Mexican fresh cheese (queso fresco) for garnish
A sliced radish or two for garnish

Finely chop the garlic and green chiles, and scoop them into a bowl.
One at a time, run a knife down through each avocado, starting at the top, until you reach the pit;
continue cutting around the pit until you reach the point you started.
Twist the two halves of the avocado apart. Remove the pit and discard.
Scoop the flesh into the bowl with the chiles.
Mash coarsely with the back of a spoon or an old-fashioned potato masher.
Add the herbs and onion, stir to combine, then taste.
Season with salt (usually about a teaspoon) and lime juice.
Scoop into a serving dish and garnish with cheese and radishes.

Lime or lemon juice, turmeric, honey, etc are natural bleach. They remove tan and make your skin fairer. (Note that lemon juice is more effective than lime juice for getting fair complexion). Cucumber juice can be applied on dry as well as oily skin to get fair complexion. To make cucumber juice, grate cucumber (with skin) (kaddukash) and squeese it. Only 1/2 to 1 teaspoon is sufficient for a single application.
Drink 10 glasses of water daily. Try the following pastes, mixtures or scrubs, if done daily, you will see a difference in about 10 days. These fair complexion remedies are also good for small babies.
All the mixtures, pastes and scrubs should be prepared freshly as they do not kkep for a long time.

Apply a mixture of equal amounts of lemon juice and honey on the face and whole body. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off.

Apply a mixture of equal amounts of lemon and cucumber juice on the face and whole body. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off. If your skin is dry, use heoney and lemon juice.

First scrub your face with cucumber slices and then apply cucumber juice (with skin on cucumber) to your face, leave it there overnight and wash in the morning.

Apply a gram flour (besan) and turmeric (haldi) paste. After sometime when it dries, scrub it off gently. This would gradually reduce body hair over a period of time.

Apply yogurt to the face.

Apply grated white radish or its juice for fairer complexion.

Clean your skin every evening - The skin pores get blocked dust to exposure to air pollution, wind, sun, air conditioning, dirt and grime from our fingers.

It is really important to remove stale make-up, perspiration, dirt, dust, excess oil etc. Use a good, natural cleanser that removes only the impurities without stripping the skin of nutrients and moisture.

Oh, I agree... what are you looking for? Main, dessert, jellies? We're all dying to give you are best recipes here!!

BANANA RUM PUFFS
To bake these puffs all at once, you will need 6 mini-muffin pans, each containing twelve 1 3/4- by 1-inch cups. However, you could also make them in batches using fewer pans.
For dough
4 sticks (2 cups) cold unsalted butter
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
For filling
2 large firm-ripe bananas
12 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large egg yolks
2 tablespoons rum
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Make dough:
Cut butter into 1/4-inch slices. In a large bowl with your fingertips or a pastry blender blend together flour, salt, and butter until mixture resembles coarse meal with some pea-size lumps of butter. Stir in sour cream with a fork until incorporated and form dough into a ball.
Divide dough into 6 portions and form each piece into a 5-inch square. Chill dough, wrapped separately in plastic wrap, until firm, at least 2 hours, and up to 3 days, or freeze, wrapped well, up to 1 month.

Make filling:
Mash enough of bananas to measure 1 cup and in a bowl stir together with remaining filling ingredients until smooth.

On a lightly floured surface roll out 1 dough square (keep remaining dough chilled or frozen) into a 15- by 6-inch rectangle (about 1/8 inch thick). With a sharp knife and a ruler cut rectangle into ten 3-inch squares. Lay squares over ungreased mini-muffin cups (2 cups will remain empty) and drop 1 heaping teaspoon filling onto center of squares. Bring all four corners of squares together and press gently to seal (filling will not be completely enclosed; this process will ease filled pastries into muffin cups). Chill filled pastries 30 minutes. Make more pastries in same manner.

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Bake pastries in batches in lower third of oven until pale golden, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool pastries in pans on racks 10 minutes and transfer to racks to cool completely. Pastries keep, layered between sheets of wax paper in airtight containers, and frozen, 2 weeks. Before serving, thaw puffs and reheat in one layer on a baking sheet in a 325°F oven 7 to 10 minutes. Cool puffs on a rack.

Dust puffs with confectioners' sugar before serving.

Makes about 60 puffs.
