I have a black lab who is 55 lbs. and almost two years old. In the summertime, she is in the water 3-4 times every week. Right now I give her Sentinal for heartworms and flea control and Frontline occasionally. But this summer we have a TON of mosquitos and need to find something that works to repel and/or kill fleas, ticks and mosquitos that won't wash off in one week.

It works great. My dog has access to a river, pond and pool and she takes full advantage of all three. I keep expecting her to show up with fins and gills since she is in the water so much. She has no problem with any of the pests you have mentioned. I have numerous cats also and they are thriving all too well.

Yes it seems to be fairly water repelent.
My dog gets wet about 3-4 times per week and I do not heave a flea or tick problem.
Every one has siad this was a terrible year for t icks and my dog is out in the tall grass every day on the farm and I have not seen a tick yet.

Yes it does - all the Topical flea and /or Heartworm meds are okay in water but you should wait 90 mins after giving the dose for full efficacy.

55 lbs, is it underweight for a 2 years old lab?

it is supposed to last through water exposure, but i think it loses a bit of the effectiveness. be very, very careful if you have a cat. advantix is extremely dangerous to our feline friends.
