We have a president that is asking for billions for the wars in afhganistan and Iraq but a few measley dollars in comparison to protect our borders,we also have a senate that for their own interests come out with a ridiculous bill that have sent signals to every individual in south america to head toward the US.
Shouldn't the american people have the right to recall any politician that's defective, like our government makes the auto dealers do.

First to the ones that say Bush inherited this problem, yes he did,but he also has not helped any by almost inviting more illegals into this country with his statements of amnesty, next to the bleeding hearts for illegals, they are not a few but millions that have crossed the border, and they are not the humble poor innocents that are portrayed, when you are chanting on US soil that you will take over and hold a US flag upside down while waving the mexican flag up high, you are an invader and not a person that wants to abide by the rules

I agree, we should have closed down our borders with an iron fist after the attack of 9/11. It is utterly ridiculous that we get toe jam inspections at airports and yet no one is bothering to see what scum is swimming or walking across the border. Bush should be publicly flogged for that. And I voted for him, but totally disagree on his handling of security after 9/11.

Okay here is the deal, what needs to happen is all the National Guardsmen (and women) need to come home from Iraq and do what they are supposed to do and support us nationally in areas such as border security and natural disasters. And before you preach against the president, think about the huge resposibility that he has. Would you want that on your shoulders? I think not so give the man at least partial credit

Well Terrorists and the Countries that support them are a direct threat. Our borders havent really been a problem.

The borders are a lower priority than securing Iraq and Afghanistan.

It makes sense.

Are you worried about the Mexicans attacking the US?

I really think that we should spend more money and put more people on border patrol, but that should be 2nd towards the war, which seems like it is winding down, and we'll have everyone out of there in less than 18 months.

I think this is more of a rhetorical statement than a question that you posted, however, I don't really think the blame should be placed on any one person or administration because there have been many, in fact, a multitude of factors leading up to this kind of problem.

The same kind of leadership we've had for generations. Congress makes the laws and as long as we have selfserving politicians who only care about themselves and not others you will never see them providing the type of security that this country needs.

impeachment, and voting for the opposition giving the incumbent a run for his or her money, check out marcy winograds race in california and the effect it had on jane harmon, whether we agree with the politics of others or not, we need to start looking at what alternative groups and individuals have done to fight the powers that be for their own interests and learn from them what has worked and what didn't rather than dismissing them as loons or liberals

The border has been porous for decades. Are you including every president over the time period, or are you feebly trying to just bash Bush?

This has been going on for years and years, so don't lay all of the blame on this or any other President... They have all been equally guilty of what you say. Each administration screws up one way or another and never fixes the old problems.
