Before 1953, Iran was a secular democracy and radical islam was a minor phenomenon. In 1953, the US helped the Shah overthrow and destroy the Iranian democracy, creating a brutal dictatorship that benefited the US at the expense of the Iranian people.
This anti-democratic act by the US polarized Iranians. Since attempts at peaceful democratic opposition were brutally repressed, violent and radical islamic theology became the only force strong enough to oppose it, much the same way countries turned to communism wherever the US supported fascist regimes (Batista in Cuba, Somoza in Nicaragua and Pinochet in Chile, etc.).
In the end, US support for the Shah ended up funding terrorism against the US for 20+ years. To help the Shah, the US gave him printing presses, plates, paper and ink to produce US $100 bills. After the fall of the Shah and the capture of the palace, the presses were used to print money both to pay for their anti-US campaigns as well as to destablize the US economy.
US support for brutal regimes is nothing new. The US philosophy of international relations was and still remains "My enemy's enemy is my friend". Because of this, the US has gotten into bed with some very reprehensible "leaders", all in the name of "US interests". For nearly 20 years, the US supported Saddam and sold him WMDs. The US funded and helped train the Mujahadeen who later became the Taliban. The US supports Israel unquestioningly, regardless of its actions (and that includes blaming the captain of the USS Cole for Israeli jet fighters firing on the vessel and killing US soldiers).

It's cause they're crazy with a lot of time on their hands.
Would you be willing to suport the patriotic slogan? Allah bless America
If enough said it, especially islam people, wouln't that help?
We could print it up near mosques. I'm sure most people in Islam in America would agree.

You can accomplish anything when you really want to and apparently they are really motivated.
Probably they hate America because they think the Americans are non believers (religion contradiction). America also has troops on what they consider to be holy land.

its because theyre all united in their hate for the U.S. and Israel and its because they get smart people to run them. Osama is one of them. dont be fooled by his appearence. this man organized the deadliest terror attack in the world and turned Al Qaeda into more of a corporation than a simple terrorist organization.
and the reason why they hate America so much is because of its undisputed support for everything Israel does, including the atrocities such as the massacres in Palastinians refugee camps.

I dont think they hate americans as much has they hate america. It is because of the hypocrisy of america and her support for dictators in some cases and democracy in others. what ever their grievances maybe it does not give them the right to kill innocent people.
