I too had that dilemma, we got pink champagne cake with strawberry mousse filling.. it was a lovely pale pink and tasted heavenly. I love three milk.. but agree that something different is nice.

It's up to you. What kind do you like? Maybe try one with a special cream or jelly you like. Personally, I like really rich chocolate. You could make mini cakes for each guest, though, ones in their favorite flavor (find out beforehand). If none of these are interesting, try carrot or lemon cake-- yummy! Plus, they both work with white icing and you can make it look fancy, sort of like a wedding cake! Lemon also looks like yellow cake inside and has FLAVOR! Or go really crazy and have pineapple upside down cake or no cake-- pie or something else entirely (like brownies, rice krispy treats, s'mores!). My favorite idea, though-- you want to be different, right? Be really different... trick your guests! Make them think there will be no dinner, only cake! Serve the cake first, slice it and hand out the pieces-- and watch everyone get the shock of their life! See, you can make the cake out of meatloaf and ice it with mashed potatoes and decorate with squeeze cheese! It's fun, but don't do it if you think it will offend anyone. Still, I hope you like one of these ideas and I hope your quinceneara turns out great! Happy 15th birthday!

Ooooooh, Angel Food Cake, honey! Just like you are right now!
Is it out of line to serve both? One for tradition and one in respect to you?

Do a multi-tiered cake (different cakes). That way you can have chocolate, lemon and vanilla. YUMMY
