Friends of ours did it about 2 weeks in advance. Vegas is popular because the license office is open until midnight 7 days a week and 24 hours on holidays. All of the casinos have chapels and sometimes they are booked in advance. There are also lots of beautiful places to get married that aren't in a casino. Our friends got married in Red Rock Canyon. It's still one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to. There were 8 of us in this awesome canyon. You can get married in the Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, there are a bunch of places. Good Luck

There are SOOOO many chapels in Las Vegas that you can literally get married on a whim. In fact when you go downtown to get the license at the courthouse, there are usually reps from different chapels right there on the steps trying to get your business. Chapels come equipped with everything from minister, theme, decorations, flowers, music and photographs and some have video taping.

yah, you can just go, get married. but you might not get to do it at a nice chapel. you really should research all the different packages that are available. I go to 'weddingslasvegas.com' or you can just type in the search bar " vegas wedding chapels " and you will see a ton of sites that you can go to.

If you want quality plan. Make your reservations at a decent wedding chapel. Your wedding hopefully only happens once and is a memory you are going to have forever.

I suggest finding one ahead of time in case any friends of family want to join you. Some broadcast the ceremony on the internet. It's easy to do research from home.

because there are so many, you can just go. but you aren't going to get a planned out event. it depends on what sounds good to you. if you just want to go and have fun and see what happens, then do it. if you are inviting guests of any kind and/or want the kind of ceremony you see in wedding albums, then plan.
it's up to you!
have fun:D
