Well more than not these wars are nothing more than years of retribution. You kill my son, so I am going to kill yours. They mask of a lot of their feelings in a shroud of religious beliefs because then they can feel righteous about their actions.

People hate to think that revenge or violent retribution is something they are capable of. But if you start believing what you do is in the name of god, then your actions can be justified.

Deep down they are hurt for past events (because in many cases we are talking decades of war that has killed entire families) and with an economical crisis many of these countries face, the only comfort they can find is the satisfaction that they are doing gods will. Twisting gods will into killing those that killed their family in the name of god/allah/buddah whoever.

positive, its somewhat different. Cult's are extra a social flow than a non secular flow. it truly is like a communistic flow with a non secular reason, or vice versa. prepared mainstream religions are too enormous to really modify their individuals the way a cult does, and they lack a competent customary chief. Cult's many times have some customary prophet or human-god, and really commonly trust in a coming doomsday. The latter characteristic is attributed commonly to Doomsday Cults (no wonder there). Al-Qaeda is actual cultish. It revolves round reliable customary figures that dictate an intensive new interpretation of historic non secular literature, and mobilize dedicated followers to kill themselves for the cult. In some procedures its such as 3 of the extra risky cults contained in the previous. wish that helped.

Religion is the cause of more death, war, murder, destruction, intollerance and cruelty than anything else in the history of mankind. Religion tends to make people so sure that they're RIGHT, makes them think that God is on their side, and makes them think that, because of their beliefs, they can do anything they want, and still get on God's good side. It also tends to make people stick their heads in the sand and ignore reason & logic. Science and knowledge has the tendancy to go against their beliefs, so they ignore these inconvient facts. Basically, take religion, add water, and you will sow IGNORANCE.
This ignorance is so powerful that it even makes believers hate and fight against those people who have really similar beliefs to their own. In Scotland, the Protestants & Catholics would get in huge gang fights that lasted DECADES! People get their heads filled with this nonsense, and they just wanna fight someone, even if it's their fellow countrymen who worships the same God!
Sometimes, of course, it also involves economics & politics. In places like Scotland & Ireland, in general, Protestants have a tendancy to want to remain part of Britain, and also have a tendacncy to be upper or middle class. Catholics have a tendancy to want to split from Britain, and have a tendancy to be working class, so this also complicates things! So: religion + poltics + economics = violence & stupidity!

this is a very complicated question that requires a long history lesson.
but the shortest answer that I can give you (someone else may be able to phrase it better) is that when sometimes when people disagree on something, one or both will say things to each other that are hurtful. and rather than addressing that issue. they hold on to it.
this eventually blows up into such a large issue, that the disagreements can no longer be discussed rationally, and the two parties end up hating each other over something that was never the core of the disagreement or conflict of belief.
if you want clarification, email me.

I would say that the answer to that is simple. The more seriously you take the question, then the easier it is to lose your temper over the answer. Human beings are like that. Not just about religion, but about anything that deeply matters to them. That's why people with different beliefs can't get along very well, most of the time.

It is impossible to truly know the answers to the Big Questions of life. However, people still want to know the answers. Often they will convince themselves that the answers they do have are the ultimate right ones. Other people who have different answers are threatening. The existence of other possibilities means that our interpretations may be wrong. In something as important as what happens after death, this can be very scary.

Most of the time it's because some religions have perverted the essential Christian Doctrine and who Christ is. However, no one should be hating each other and talking down on each other, because that is not what Christ taught us to do. Love your neighbor!

They each think that they have some hidden truth that makes them better than anyone else.

Maybe they have a hidden truth, but they may have more errors than other groups have also.

Only God can say who is closer to the truth.
