When I found the bullseye I called my doctor and was treated with antibiotics right away. I took the pills for 5 weeks and thought that was that. Now, 7 months later my left elbow joint and both of my knees are in pain 24/7. I'm 47 and walked 5-10 miles on a hike. Now, I'm lucky to stand or walk 3 miles without tears in my eyes. Please what can be done to reduce the pain.

If you took your meds the way your were supposed to, you may just have a side effect to the bite. I am a Wellness Consultant and am interested in what kind of tick bit you and what the meds were for. Just an infection or something more specific. I do believe there are things you can do to help you with the pain and be able to get back to your normal self. Have you seen a doctor and gotten tested for Lyme disease? It can have many different symptoms, it varies a lot. But effects that last this long can't be typical.

Go see a doc.

Go see a doctor right now; today, and don't wait.

If it really was Lyme disrease and you're in pain, you need to see someone, and fast.

Log off your computer and go. To the emergency room if you have to.

Yup... gotta go to the doc. This might be related, but it might not be. Did you have a lime disease test done?? If not, I'd recommend it.

Good luck and I hope the pain goes away fast!

Go see the doctor again and let him/her know exactly what's going on. Sounds like RA (rheumatoid arthritis)
