who cares? being weird is alot better than what he could have called you... and being weird isnt that bad anyways... do you want to be like everyone else or do you want to be different? to stand out?
but my suggestion is to stop worrying about something so petty, when im sure there are more important things that deserve your attention....
...besides, if hes an ex, why on earth does it matter?

why didn't you just act like a normal person when you went out with him? then you wouldn't get this kind of problem would you?
And maybe he isn't worth it in the first place, if he's calling you names.
