yes cats get dandruff. My siamese gets it. Cats are really hard to bathe to this is what I do. I try to brush her everyday. It moves those natural oils around which are good for the skin and also spray conditioner on her. You can get that at any pet supply store like petsmart. It works well for me. Good luck!

Cats can get dandruff. What to do depends on the cause. I don't recommend bathing the cat with any human dandruff products until you know that it is safe to do. Some conditions can become worse if you use the wrong thing. ( and some cats do not take well to bathing, as well some cats are very sensitive to products being on the skin)

If you do not want to consult your vet at this point, I would brush the cat regularly, and think about a diet change. Choose a diet with meat as the first ingredient, not a meat by product. Diet changes can take up to 10 weeks to change conditions in the skin to be patient, and if the conditions worsens certainly take the cat in.

Any living thing with skin can get dandruff. Cats can get it for any number of reasons. It could be a skin conditions, which you will need to be checked out by a vet, so that you can medicate it. It could also just simply be allergies, which will be solved on its own. Also, some cats get dandruff because they do not get enough water in their systems. Cats don't drink much water, because the don't need as much or as often as other animals, and sometimes their system gets too dry, and so their skin (which is a fairly unimportant organ compared to the heart or lungs, etc) gets less water. Whenever my cats get dry skin, I mix their dry food with equal parts of wet food, and it clears up within a week or so. Try this first, but if it doesn't clear, consult a vet.

Yes cats can get dandruff, plus other skin conditions that can worsen over time. Parasites can cause a condition called walking dandruff, so it is imperative to have your pet friend checked out at a reputable veterinarian. This way you know what exactly is the cause and you can treat it as soon as possible so your cat does not suffer. Easy when in doubt bring your pet to the vet! Yours Truly, Sandy

Yes cats can get dandruff. Any animal with fur can get dandruff. How you tell if it is dandruff is if you see flaky skin underneath the fur.

There are a lot of treatments for dandruff. One of the easiest and more common pet treatments for dandruff involves shampooing the animal with baby shampoo to which you have added a couple of drops of tea tree oil.

My cat has dandruff and the things that seem to help her are brushing to help distribute the oils in her skin, feeding her a good quality cat food and giving her some fish oil a few times a week. Hope it helps :)

Cats can get dry skin just like humans or dogs.

A shampoo for cats can help with the dandruff itself, but that's just a symptom. Why does your cat have dry skin? That's what you need to find out.

Your cat may have allergies, be stressed (new pet in the house?) or need supplements. I would talk to a vet and switch him to a better quality food.

Evaluate your cat food. Often a better, or different food will cure the dandruff.
Or you can bathe them, but you have to do it at least weekly, and then sometimes they get MORE dry skin from over-bathing. Cats have natural oils on the fur and you will be washing them off. Cats were not meant to be bathed often.

Yes cats can get dandruff. Use Selsun Blue on them and give them a bath. DO NOT USE Head and Shoulders because that has zinc oxide instead of selenium sulfide.

Yes! it just means that they have dry skin, just like people. If it is seasonal like spring and fall it is most likely allergies...like people

Check with the vet, if it is allergies because they can give your cat help. If they have allergies it is most likely miserable...

If its all year round try different shampoos with moisturizing.
