I was reading a popular author's website, as I plan on buying her book today, and she mentioned that she felt uncomfortable with the Nation of Islam's stand on biracial children. It reminded me of an incident I had in High School, and was wondering if someone who is in the Nation of Islam could explain their stand on interracial marriage and their products.

I don't think mainstream Muslims are like this, only the "Black Muslims" or Nation of Islam, headed by Farrakhan

To me the idea that one who is only partially black is not black...

It's like saying it only has a little food coloring in the water...well, if I see the color (i dont care how light), then i know one thing for sure...its not clear WATER!
I'm not trying to join them, I think that it's absurd for their group to tell someone they are not a part of a racial group they were BORN into....

the NOI believe first, that islam is for blacks..only

The leader started this belief, his name is escaping me, he recruit Malcom X..forgive me for forgetting his name.

Anyway, NOI started in the prison systems in America, where he recruited young aggresive blacks. He coined the phrase "by any means neccasary" but Malcom X made it famous.

When Malcom X made his pilgramage to Mecca it was there he decided "complete, or blanket" racsim was wrong. He was befriended by whites, arabs, and a whole mix of races on his trip over there. By muslims, and non muslims alike-

In other words, away from America, he discovered races can co-exist in peace.

He came back, and preached that. Obviously, the NOI, having a firm black only policy, didnt like it. Malcom X left NOI, went to traditional Islam, and started his own "mosque". Thats when the NOI issued the fatwa murder order, on Malcom X.

The NOI are extremely racist , I rank them right along there with Al-Queda, but they dont bomb people. But they do preach hate towards, especially the white folk, Funny thing is Elijah Muhammed lived in a white neighborhood.

That was the founders name, Elijah Muhammed. It came back to me,

The Nation of Islam is fairly racist, obviously. Remember, when Malcolm X went on Hajj to Mecca, he realized that a true Muslim can be of any color in the world. The Nation of Islam is a splinter group, an extreme group that does not represent Islam as a whole.

What a bunch of b.s.
The Nation of Islam was founded by a biracial man.
Those who say the NOI hates biracial people don't know anything about what they're saying, else they would know the NOI is multi-ethnic.

Well Nation of Islam is for black people, not people who are "half black" I am taking it that they want blacks to preserve there identity so they make it clear that mixed race people will not be accepted. Kinda funny since Elijah Muhammad obviously was not pure black and the founder of nation of Islam was a white guy who they claim was god on earth. You can see that nation of Islam is nothing like real Islam which accepts everyone and would never say god was a man.

Please don't get mixed up with Islam and Nation of Islam because they are two different religions. Islam doesn't follow the rules and regulation of Nation of Islam because they go against the teachings of Islam.
