I liked this guy and, at first, he gave me the impression he liked me and wanted to hook up with me. Then he stops calling and asks me to stop calling or texting him. This morning I see on my phone one missed call and it was his number.

I wouldnt call him back...Have more will power and pride...dont be so quick to call him back..Men are like that..they love to be chased...Be Strong..and dont call him

LOL I can see I am WAY outvoted....but...
IF anyone else would have called you and you missed the call, would you have called them back? How does calling him back give him the upper hand?
Go ahead and call him. When he answers, be short and to the point. Say something like:
"Hi, I was checking my phone messages and I saw your phone number listed where you called. Were you trying to reach me?"
He can say "errr.... no, I missed dialed". Then you just say "Okay, have a great day" AND HANG UP. " Don't act interested or as if it was a big deal. Don't make converstation unless he does.
Remember, it is your life - you have the upper hand.

Ignore it and do not call it back. Chances are, he is merely trying to hook up, and thought it would be easiest to do so with you. Follow his instruction, and don't call him. Sometimes, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I would just call him fast and see what he called for then if he tells you to really stop calling then you should not call no more.
