Turkish is cute only because you can shorten it to Turk, and that's a good nickname.

On the plus side, it's rather unique and special-sounding.
On the negative side, it will probably get him teased in school pretty quickly.
Nobody really ever likes their name. I rather think every parent should give their child a name and that name should become their middle name. Then, each time they enter a new school (elementary, middle, high) and when they hit 18, they should be allowed to pick a new name. The first name becomes the middle name and the old names get hyphenated onto the middle name-- a kind of anthology of names. Let's say you named him Turkish, but he wanted to be called John in Middle school and let's say your last name was Smith. His name would become John Turkish Smith. Then, in middle school, he wanted to be called Danny, instead, so his name would become Danny Turkish-John Smith. Then, when he hit high school, he wanted to be called Evan. His name would become Evan Turkish-John-Danny Smith. Get the idea? Confusing? Yes. But it also allows for a great deal of individuality and growth in one's life.

absolutely not. There's nothing cool or cute about that name. There are plenty of other countries, origins and food that sound a lot better than Turkish.

You want to name a child this? Please consider how he will respond to it and others will respond to it. Any handle too strange is ripe for school yard teasing that can be cruel. Get a name book and choose one he won't have to change when he comes of age.
